From support groups to pet therapy and oncology rehabilitation, the Cancer Center offers patients and their families a wide range of programs that can help with every phase of treatment and recovery.

- Oncology DieticianIf you need assistance with poor appetite, taste changes, difficulty swallowing, weight loss or gain, nausea, and vomiting, or need education materials. Call (910) 641-8228 for information
- Social Worker:
- Access to psychosocial support - Donayre Cancer Care Center has oncology and spiritual counselors available for patients and their families. To reach the oncology counselor, please call (910) 641-8220.
- Community resources - We encourage patients to take advantage of every opportunity available to them, from support groups and counseling to events sponsored by local non-profit agencies.
- Nurse Navigators
The Cancer Center Support Services Department is dedicated to help cancer patients in many ways. The Nurse Navigators walk with patients along their journey and provide resources to aid in the fight against cancer. Contact your physician or doctor's office to find out who your Nurse Navigator is.
Financial Assistance
Whenever possible, Columbus Regional Healthcare System tries to assist cancer patients who need financial assistance with chemotherapy and other cancer-related prescriptions. Learn more about medication assistance and if you qualify by calling (910) 641-3672.
