Whiteville, NC – Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) and the CRHS Foundation are proud to announce the awarding of ten (10) $1,000 scholarships to outstanding Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) students from area high schools. This marks the largest number of HOSA scholarships ever awarded by CRHS in a single year.
Each student honored has successfully completed a second-level Health Occupation class and demonstrated a strong commitment to pursuing a career in healthcare. This year’s scholarship recipients are:
“We are very excited to have had such a pool of candidates to choose from that we couldn’t choose just a few and decided to give each a scholarship,” said Jason Beck, CEO of CRHS. “That is a testament to the students and their respective programs. We wish them the best and hope to see them in the halls of Columbus Regional one day.”
Since 1997, CRHS has supported aspiring healthcare professionals through its scholarship program, which is funded by the CRHS Foundation, the CRHS Volunteers, and the CRHS Nursing Department. The initiative reflects CRHS’s continued investment in the future of healthcare and the development of local talent.
