Columbus Regional’s Palliative Care is specialized medical care focused on the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for patients and their loved ones.
Palliative care works in coordination with your providers to support your current treatment plan, to control disease symptoms such as pain, nausea, vomiting, breathing difficulties, fatigue, confusion, and/or depression. Palliative care typically supports patients living with heart disease, lung disease, cancer, renal failure, liver disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease and ALS.
This expert support for serious illness is available at our hospital, through telehealth and in your home.
