The administration and staff of Columbus Regional Healthcare System continues to have the Emergency Management Command Center in operation. Over 210 staff are on site to ensure continuous care for the patients.
“The safety of our patients and staff continues to be our number one job”, says John Young, CEO.
“That is no different during a weather event such as this. I am confident that we have the right people in place to take care of the community health care needs over the next few days. ”
In an effort to ensure the safety of all those in the facility, the restricted access plan continues. Visitors will be limited to one per patient and will be asked to sign in and out through the emergency room entrance. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis.
Surgical services will be closed on Monday and cases will be rescheduled.
All outpatient services and the Columbus Regional Healthcare Network practices will be closed on Monday. The Columbus Regional Urgent Care will plan to reopen as soon as possible.
Columbus Regional updates will be posted on the CRHS Facebook page at
