WHITEVILLE, NC- Columbus Regional Healthcare System (CRHS) is proud to announce a new academic partnership with the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Beginning this month, third-year medical students from Campbell will join the CRHS team to complete a portion of their clinical training alongside our dedicated and experienced Medical Staff.
“We are excited to partner with a program, which has a strong focus on training physicians to serve in rural and underserved communities,” said CRHS CEO Jason Beck.
Dr. Peter Chambers, an Emergency Department physician, will serve as the CRHS Director of Student Medical Education. Shauna Treadaway will support the program as the Student Medical Education Coordinator.
As you visit our hospital, you may notice some new faces in the halls. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to these future physicians as they become part of our community.
