Columbus Regional Healthcare System and Network are taking all the precautions to ensure you receive COVID-safe care.

Cancer Care

We are in the process of expanding the Donayre Cancer Center. We are relocating into the campus of the hospital. We’re expanding it into about 5000 sq ft. As you may know, we have a partnership with the Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte. We are going to be able to offer access to multidisciplinary care, access to clinical trials and research. Our wonderful auxiliary at the hospital has donated $35,000, and that’s going to support a patient resource center. We received $150,000 grant from the Cannon Foundation to help support the effort, and the hospital is reinvesting almost $2 million in this expansion.

Again, this is going to be something that you are going to be very, very proud of. That’s what we want to give back to the community. We want you to be able to get the services that you need here in Columbus County, in Whiteville, Tabor City, wherever it is. It needs to be in Columbus County. That clinic is slated to open in the middle of May. We will be having a grand opening celebration. We will be having several grand opening celebrations. You’ll all be invited to that.
