Columbus Regional Urges Patients to Understand Their Health Plans
It’s that time of year again- time for people to renew their health insurance plans. It’s also a good time to look at which doctors and hospitals are included in your plan. Columbus Regional Healthcare System wants everyone to take a close look and before they pick a health plan, know which doctors and hospital are parts of it.
CRHS has also informed its patients who have the Blue Cross Blue Shield- Blue Value health insurance product that CRHS doctors and hospital will not be included in their current BCBS-Blue Value Plan starting January 1, 2016
However, there are other options that DO include CRHS doctors and hospital at the highest benefit, including:
Blue Advantage from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC
Compass from UnitedHealthcare
Multi-State Health Plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC
Switching to a plan that includes Columbus Regional Healthcare System can help you keep out-of-pocket costs down when patients get care from Columbus Regional Healthcare System or its providers. Out of pocket costs are the total expenses for medical care that are not paid by a patient’s health insurance plan.
To change a health insurance plan, people need to contact a local insurance agent or visit healthcare.gov.
