We are currently recruiting for an additional urologist, and we have worked with Walters Surgical [Associates] in supporting their efforts to recruit a new general surgeon. They have a new general surgeon. Dr. Chris Helak, who is going to be starting here this summer. He’s also bariatric surgery trained. We are going to be able to offer weight loss surgery. There are a lot of components to that that we need to put in place, but it’s definitely a service that I think could be used, could be needed in this community, and it’s something that we want to be able to offer. It just so happens that Dr. Helak’s wife is a pediatrician. I love those two-for-one deals. They just had their second child, so I know she doesn’t want to work full-time but she’s going to be working with us in our pediatric clinic as well.
A new urologist and a new general surgeon are in the process of being recruited. The surgeon, Dr Chris Helak, is married to a pediatrician, whom may also be able contribute to CRHS pediatric services as well. Dr. Helak, is also trained in bariatric surgery, meaning that CRHS will be able to offer weight loss surgery when he begins work this summer.
