— Columbus Regional Healthcare System and UnitedHealthcare have renewed their relationship, once again giving people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare individual, employer-sponsored and Medicare Advantage plans in-network access. Columbus Regional Healthcare System and UnitedHealthcare agreed to make the agreement retroactive to March 1, 2015, ensuring UnitedHealthcare plan participants do not experience any interruption in their in-network benefits coverage for services received at Columbus Regional Healthcare System’s facilities and physicians.

“We are pleased to have renewed our agreement with UnitedHealthcare,” said Carla Hollis, CEO of Columbus Regional Healthcare System. “UnitedHealthcare plan participants will continue to have in-network access to our quality physicians and services, and our care providers’ focus remains on delivering the best care for our patients.”

“Columbus Regional is an important provider of health care services in Columbus County, and this renewed network relationship lays the foundation for future collaboration on health issues that matter to our plan participants,” said Garland Scott, CEO, UnitedHealthcare of the Carolinas. ”Our continued work together gives individuals and families local access to critical health services.”

UnitedHealthcare serves more than 1 million people in North Carolina enrolled in individual, employer-sponsored and Medicare health plans.
